Pink + Black Inspiration

Last month Leslie of a creative mint was inspired by the above mag cover to make her own project below, and in turn I was inspired by her to style a girly chic look and a rebel rocker look. Kind of like an inspirational pay it forward. Some days I feel like a rebel, when others I want to paint my nails and prance around. I'm sure many of you can relate. So what inspires you? Can you keep this movement going?

Dear Santa, you SUCK.

Speaking of Christmas lists, last year I asked very nicely for a dior handbag, do you think that white-haired, belly laugher brought me one? Nope. In my defense I was quite a good girl last year and have been even better this year (minus a few days or so). So this year I'm starting my list early and I'm making it a bit longer and perhaps even add a few things in the coming months.

p.s. if by some chance Santa, you do still have that dior bag leftover, I will gladly still accept it.

Valhalla Brooklyn

There are days when I can't check a single email, then there are the days where I sit for 10 hours at a time going through all of them. UGH. Yesterday, was one of those days. So after a bit I thought I would take a break and read through some daily posts I'd missed, when I spotted this gorgeous leather bag featured on Burrs and Burries! Be still my buttery leather heart. As I clicked the link to see where I could find the bag, I was shocked to see it was HANDMADE.
How did my "shopping-addict-fashion-whore-credit card-overspending nutjob" radar miss this seller?

Vallhalla Brooklyn is ran by one woman, a Scandinavian, of course. Those Scandinavians know a thing or two about design, trust me. While living in Denmark, as you may remember in some of my past posts, I was smitten with just about everything. Kudos to you Miss Vallhalla, you make ah-mazing bags and as I can see the craftsmanship is absolutely superb! Once a lady buys a quality handbag, there is no going back. Now, on to make my early Christmas list...

Precious Gems

I figure if I concentrate on autumn hard enough then it will get here faster. As the temperature starts to cool down the fall color trends get hot! Sapphire and Emerald are quickly becoming my fave accent colors for this season. Grey, black, camel and brown are staple hues but don't forget to add some color to make your wardrobe pop!

Ivana Helsinki S/S 2011

Hopefully next year I will have a private jet that can take me from the west to the east coast during fashion week then I won't have to miss out on all the fun. Hey, a girl can dream, right?

Although I wasn't able to make it to Ivana Helsinki last week my beautiful friend, Rhonda of Style Shepard did, and here are some highlights from the s/s 2011 collection, "Where the F*ck is my Sailor". LOVE it!

Fashion Los Angeles Groundbreaking

Wake up Fashion Industry, there's a new event in town and it's about to rock your world!

Wednesday night marked the official groundbreaking ceremony for Fashion Los Angeles, a community platform for global exposure. The energy in the air was alluring, the crowd was debonair and Michael Venedicto showed us his heart, guts and glory. With his enthusiastic words and motivating spirit, I must admit I was a bit nervous my mascara would run, but as the noise of overwhelming applause and support began, I knew I could sniffle and no one would hear.

In the heart of Downtown LA, accompanied by the stunning views of the city and neighbor to famed Frank Gehry's Walt Disney concert hall, Grand & 1st, will be the new home of Fashion Week in Los Angeles. From February 1-7, 2011 this empty parking lot you see below will house more than 65 designers and 10,000 fashion professionals as Fashion Los Angeles brings this new, innovative, prefab village to life. With the help and support of the community, Fashion Los Angeles will meet the needs of designers and the fashion industry and in my opinion, exceed every ones' expectations.

For the love of Miu Miu

Be still my beating heart. Summer has come and gone, as I've been scrambling to get projects together, moving, working... and a million other things. Yet, I missed the a/w 2010 Miu Miu collection. Can we say I'm a bit behind? As I was waiting to meet my lunch (and shopping date) Kelsi, over at Americana at Brand, this dress jumped off the page of a local shopping guide and into my heart! I had to come home and seek it out online. Just look at these pieces, does fashion get much better than this?

O Hotel

With all my running around this past weekend, all I needed was a cozy place to come back to at the end of the day and that's exactly what I got. The O Hotel is the first independent boutique hotel in Downtown Los Angeles and I will say it's one of the best. If you are looking for a nice, clean reasonably priced hotel while you stay in La La Land, I highly recommend the O. If you choose to stay in for dinner and drinks, indulge in enticing cuisines and a million dollar mojito downstairs!

LOVE the bathroom! Modern and clean.

there was a lovely bottle of wine compliments of the O Hotel, just waiting to popped!

continental breakfast was fresh juice & coffee (much needed) and pastries from a local bakery. Ironic thing is that they were danish. Not as in, America's danishes, as in they are authentic recipes straight from Denmark. After living there for 4 years, I can recognize marzipan with my eyes closed. Quite delish too!

I would like to thank the O Hotel for being a Stylist Diva sponsor!
