Party Prep

If you are anything like me and like to plan ahead, then I hope you will appreciate this post. Yes, it's only October but I've already started getting holiday party/gala invites. Yikes! I always start shopping early for Christmas so why should I wait until the last minute to pick my holiday oufits. It's time to stop focusing on pumpkins & skeltons and start thinking, mingling, cocktails and new year's! Bridesmaid dresses aren't just for weddings anymore. I found some adorable numbers to flatter any fashionista.

And every girl deserves the perfect fitting LBD, and as a wardrobe staple, you would be silly not to have one, or two during the holidays. Even if it's strapless, just throw on a jacket, fur (faux of course) or shawl. Check out some of these fab girls dresses for special occasion, start early and stay stylish for your upcoming soirees!

Hi Ho! Hi Ho! It's off to work we go!

Dressy & Sassy!
(editor, lawyer, marketing executive)
SPLURGE...Total: $1,720.00
dress, necklace, belt, pumps

Casual & Chic!
(teacher, accountant, receptionist)

SAVE...
Total: $165.79

cardigan, top, pants, boots, earrings, ring

Today's post is dedicated to my fabulous readers: Tinagirl and Linnie!

Both of these lovely ladies have asked to see more looks for work! We all wish we could splurge, and some of us can, but even if you can't yet afford $1,170 for a pair of suede pumps, you can at least be inspired by them. Use the pieces to mix and match with your own wardrobe. If you adore this dress but your wallet doesn't, then try finding a simple satin top and pair it with a wool or tweed skirt for the same look. My personal preference is to be a bit cozy in an office environment, as my style is more casual (and comfy!) with a touch of the trends. The cardigan can be dressed up or down, it's cute, chic and with the right pair of boots and accessories you are good to go!

Deal of the week!

Over the weekend, I hit up a few shops and ran errands. Ulta was one of my stops and I found the most beautiful color polish for fall! Essence in walk of fame. I have been looking for the perfect fall hue for months now, so needless to say I was jazzed up! It's a mix of "grey meets brown" with a splash of lavender. Did I mention it was only $.99! The swatch above shows how it looks out of the bottle, sexy!

Those numbers are astonishing and we must do whatever we can to stop this horrific disease. Visit ww5.komen.org to learn how you can donate, volunteer or participate in a local event. Wear pink this month to show your support and feel your boobies!

Sexy Costumes for Halloween

I'm not a fan of the "spooky" side of Halloween like gory finger foods at cheesy parties, haunted houses, limbs hanging out of window sills and scary movies, call me what you will. I prefer the word, chicken. But I love to dress up! Some years I have spent months sewing and designing my outfit but when life gets to o busy I just buy a costume, ready to go. Sexy Costumes has a great selection and many styles come in plus sizes for all of you fellow busty gals! If you got it, flaunt it! I picked a few of my favorites to show how sassy you can be not matter what shape or size you are. What will you be for Halloween?

Vogue Italia, I'm on the fence.

These images jumped out at me! I can't quite tell if I love them or hate them? Or... that I'm so creeped out by them that I love them. Probably the latter. What's your opinion?

This shot is amazing!

Ever wonder where fashion mags get their inspiration from? I'm guessing it's a
"Lady Gaga + Cindy Lou Who + Martian Girl" Monster Mash up, with the fall trends, of course.

For all of you brides-t0-be, I thought I would put together a bit of inspiration for you today.

Fall is my favorite time of year and can make for a beautiful wedding. When searching for designer wedding dresses, be sure to take your time and when you find "the one", you will know it. We all have our own style and why not feel like a princess in one of these elegant wedding gowns. Any of these dresses shown could easily be paired with a shawl or fur cape (faux of course!) if you are having an outdoor wedding. What's your wedding style?

Happy Fall!

Hi, How was your weekend? Mine was filled with dark clouds and raindrops! Fall is officially here and I couldn't be more happier!

The weather set the mood for my inspiration today and I'm the first to admit that I have a slight addiction, to pumpkin! Once October hits, I get the green light to go nuts. Let me rephrase that, (considering some of my dearest friends may say I already am nuts). Anywho... I've already broken out my spiced pumpkin candle, pumpkin body wash, pumpkin shampoo and pumpkin soap! and... the lovely baristas at Starbucks already know my name because of my weekly pumpkin latte rituals.

Who can forget one of the most beloved Halloween specials of all time, It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown. I'm counting down the days when I will be sitting on the couch with a bowl of candy corn watching (I know, I'm a nerd). It's the sights, sounds, and the smells that remind me of fond memories of trick-or-treating in my E.T. costume and raking leaves with Grandpa.
What do you love most about fall?

Fall is no doubt my favorite season, especially for shopping!
