The Futuristic

AH-mazing.

Pamper Me Fabulous this Sunday!

Ladies, mark your calendars for this Sunday, March 27th!  It's time to gather your bestie, your mom, friend and sister and head over to Pamper Me Fabulous!

As the Ultimate Women’s Day Out – the Pamper Me Fabulous event series brings together over 1200 fabulous, savvy women to celebrate Women’s History Month and reward and empower their minds, bodies and spirits.

The Sunday, March 27th event will be returning to Los Angeles at the Vibiana in Downtown LA, and is sponsored in part by NewBeauty Magazine, Spa Magazine, Hyundai, Vision Essentials by Kaiser Permanente, Marinello Schools of Beauty, ShoeDazzle, Skins 62 Cosmetics and Don Francisco’s Coffee. The multi-city event aims to encourage women to bring their inner fabulousness to light by providing engaging seminars and opportunities for women to learn, network, shop and more.

“Women are a tremendous source of strength,” remarked Amanda Ma, co-founder of Pamper Me Fabulous, “This event is our way of honoring, recognizing and rewarding the achievements of women during Women’s History Month. The event is created for women by women, where we bring all things women love to one location, making it convenient and accessible for girlfriends, mothers, daughters and colleagues to gather at a swanky and engaging platform and take in some “me” time.”

As part of the programming, lifestyle personalities like Food Network’s Aida Mollenkamp or HGTV’s Kahi Lee dish will advice on feng shui fashion and artisan/organic living to daily inspiration in The Expert Corner. Guests love and tone their minds and bodies by taking part in pilates or sculpting classes from wellness trainers at Terranea Resort and Spa and Reebok at The Fitness Area.

And if that wasn’t enough, free flowing Barefoot Wine & Bubbly, culinary dessert bites, retail therapy and spa treatments from eco-friendly and local salons and boutiques await guests in The Bazaar marketplace. Guests are all rewarded with a celebrity worthy gift bag containing products from Luna Bar, VitaFusionVitamins, Kiehls, Murad, NYX, Steven Knoll, Don Francisco’s Coffee and more when they leave.

The best part about the event? It’s for a good cause. Step Up Women’s Network is the charity beneficiary, and the nonprofit is dedicated to mentorship and providing resources for teens and women.

Hope to see you all there! xoxo

Della- Handbags that "Carry Change"

Based in Los Angeles and designed by humanitarian Tina Tangalakisf, Della is more than handbags.  What she thought to just be a trip to Ghana has now changed her world and many others.  After a serendipitous meeting with a local seamstress, Beatrice Agabe, Tina and her new friend quickly bonded over their love of design and a desire to improve the lives of others.

The two created Della, vegan bags that would support the economy of the country, but also offer education and jobs for local women.  Della is an entrepreneurial program in Ghana that helps women learn a trade, while also being given classes in micro-financing and assisted  in opening savings accounts.

I am LOV-ing these bold patterns! Perfect for Spring!

A Toast. To Change & New Beginnings.

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it,

FOCUS Blogger Lounge!

Join me this week, March 15-17th at the Focus Blogger Lounge, in downtown Los Angeles!

Embracing my inner Louise.

Hello dear, dear readers.  I've missed you so. Before I knew it, my life turned into a whirlwind of events.  I knew 2011 would be a great one, but I didn't know it would be so busy, so fast. I have no complaints but I'm just trying to balance it all. My dear friend from Denmark, came to visit me these past few weeks and helped me get settled into my new place in LA. I'm so happy to finally call LA, home.  I can't tell you how many times I've driven to LA from Vegas in the past year, but it was ALOT.

But that didn't mean that I was opposed to driving back to Vegas to show Stine the lights of Sin City!  No, we didn't have a convertible, Brad Pitt didn't make our acquaintance and we are still alive, but as you can see, we embraced our inner Thelma & Louise on the road trip out.  It was full of fun, singing way too loud (and out of tune) and eating too much junk food.  But that didn't stop us from applying a heavy coat of purple eyeshadow and red lipstick while pulled over in the desert!  maybe Lousie didn't sport a McQueen scarf, but it looks damn good anyways!)

As I settle in the new place, spend my weekend attending LA Fashion Week events, I will be inspired to come back blogging with a bang, next week!
