GIVE BACK

Before I start the big, 24 Days of Holiday Giveaways, tomorrow and take a break during the next few weeks, I need to make a special announcement.

I love fashion, I enjoy shopping, I love writing about it and I love being able to give you all fabulous prizes! BUT. First things first. Every year, during the holidays, I take the time to visit some of my favorite charitable organizations and do my part, I give back. I'm asking, begging you to do the same. Maybe you can afford alot or maybe you can only afford a little, but PLEASE do your part. While many of us enjoy a hot meal or a new sweater, there are twice as many you can't. Join me in helping to change those statistics.

Feeding America
*For Every $5 you provide 10 bags filled with groceries.*
*Over 49 MILLION Americans face hunger.*
*That is 1 in 4 children that live in a food-insecure household.*

Oxfam
*The world needs 6 million more well-trained and well-paid teachers,*
doctors and nurses for poor countries.

Red Cross
Each year, in communities large and small, victims of some 70,000 disasters turn
to neighbors familiar and new—the more than 500,000
volunteers and 35,000 employees of the Red Cross.

Shriners Hospitals for Children
Shriners Hospitals for Children is a one-of-a-kind international health care system dedicated to improving the lives of children by providing specialty pediatric care, innovative research and outstanding teaching programs. Children up to the age of 18 with orthopaedic conditions, burns, spinal cord injuries and cleft lip and palate are eligible for admission and receive all care in a family-centered environment at no financial obligation to patients or families.

Toys for Tots
The generosity of a small toy can add joy to the life of a less fortunate child.

Unicef
*Malaria kills about 1 million people every year.*
*As of 2006, 2.5 billion people or 38 per cent of the world’s population,*
do not have access to improved sanitation facilities.
*$18.57 can provide 3 mosquito nets.*
*$24.75 provides 12 liters of therapeutic milk for severely malnourished children.*
*$67.79 can provide 45,000 liters of clean drinking water.*

Thank you!
