No nonsense: Winter looks

Cure those winter blahs by adding a few pops of color to your wardrobe!  Step out of the old traditional standard winter wardrobe hues. Mixing neutrals and blacks with pinks, blues or even this bright yellow can lift your spirit.  It's all about the mood.  When I style I make sure my client feels good. It's the first rule in styling.  The ensemble may include a gorgeous designer gown but if you don't feel like yourself in it and it makes you feel uncomfortable then don't wear it.  To me, the definition of styling is when your fab fashion sense is paired with your true self and you aren't afraid to show it off!

I adore these (budget friendly) No nonsense leggings in mulberry, paired with a simple and sleek cashmere tunic sweater.  For me, this is an ideal outfit for the season.  Comfortable and stylish, perfect for a long day of holiday shopping! I love when I can find a great cheap addition to my wardrobe because it means I can splurge on the more key pieces like shoes, accessories, bags or that cozy Rick Owens cashmere number!

Baroque is back and I hope is never leaves.  There is something about being adorned in plush velvet, luxurious satin, delicate lace and precious gems, especially this time of year. So, don't be afraid to mix your floral patterns, I'm not usually one to push peer pressure on you but, it's ok, everyone is doing it.

(I somehow secretly wish I would be attending some 16th century (-esque) masquerade ball with the queen, as we ring in the new year, but for now, just dressing up and pretending I'm royalty is enough. Ha!)
