Beyonce: Run The World (Girls) Video

OH. EM. GEE.  Beyonce, crew, dancers and Ty Hunter- Stylist Extrordinaire, worked it out!  Talk about a fashion lover's dream!  McQueen, Givenchy, Gareth Pugh, Pucci, Gaultier, Brian Lichtenberg and LaruicciLaruicci is my new favorite obsession.  I NEED that 'man eater claw' ring in my life. Ty pulled out all the big guns on this one.  ...Kudos with a capital K!  Take a peek for yourself here.

God Save McQueen.

My day officially started when this image hit my inbox this morning.  Was I tired from a late night shoot?  Yes.  Do I still need coffee as I type this?  Yes.  Does anything else matter when the name McQueen is brought up?  Hell to the no!

I remember that dark day in the fashion world when it was announced that he had passed.  I also remembering reading the twitter feed and almost every other tweet was "God Save McQueen".  It was a sad day, yet I still shed a few happy tears.  Tears that this one single man, who changed fashion forever, would never be forgotten.  I still get emotional when I think about it.  McQueen, you were iconic.  You left a legacy and it's carried on brightly.  When I didn't know it was possible, you made me love fashion even more.  You were a true artist and even today, this rainy, slow morning, you jolt me awake when a new piece is revealed.

Long live McQueen.

Dear Santa, you SUCK.

Speaking of Christmas lists, last year I asked very nicely for a dior handbag, do you think that white-haired, belly laugher brought me one? Nope. In my defense I was quite a good girl last year and have been even better this year (minus a few days or so). So this year I'm starting my list early and I'm making it a bit longer and perhaps even add a few things in the coming months.

p.s. if by some chance Santa, you do still have that dior bag leftover, I will gladly still accept it.

The McQueen show lives on

Resort 2011

There has never been a designer quite like Alexander McQueen and I was a bit skeptical if anyone could fill such big shoes. Needless to say, I was positively pleased when I gazed upon such stunning showstoppers.

Sarah Burton, McQueen's Creative Director, should be quite proud. As much as it shocked the entire fashion world, after hearing the tragic news of the late fashion genius, I can't imagine how difficult it must be for his family and loved ones. To create such an exquisite collection at such a heavy time, in my opinion, is quite remarkable. As far as I'm concerned, this divine direction she has so bravely taken will keep my skepticism extinct.
