We’re always on the go and thinking 10 steps ahead, while for some of us (cough, cough) our closets are 20 steps behind. I can’t believe it’s October and I’ve already downed several pumpkin spice lattes. It feels like just last week I was laying next to the pool, and today I grabbed a cardigan before heading out the door. Time never feels like it’s on my side...
So let’s move forward, breath in the cool crisp air and prepare to power shop!
Whether you’re building a completely new wardrobe for fall or adding a few new pieces, it’s important to start with the staples. Wardrobe staple pieces are ones that are more versatile and can be worn on several different occasions, rarely go out of style and tend to be a bit more classic than on-trend.
When your closet is filled with fresh pieces you’ll be able to build and create numerous, new outfits. I’ve gathered a few of my fall faves and I promise it will save you a ton of time, and make your life just a bit easier.
1. The Oversized Comfy Coat
The icing to any fall outfit is an oversized coat. This is one of those pieces that is great for all body types, as long as you balance your proportions. Be sure to keep the rest of your outfit more fitted.

3. The Grab ‘N’ Go, Shove It All In Bag
Every gal needs a structured bag for every season. For me, I tend to think I need one for every week. Trust me, you don’t want to see my closet.
4. The LBB. (little black boot)
An ankle boot is by far one of the most important wardrobe staples for fall. Wear with jeans, leggings or a short leather skirt. Depending on the weather, you should grab a pair of tights too.
5. The Versatile Scarf
I’m obsessed with scarves and they go with everything.
An easy way to accessorize and stay warm.
