FRESH N' FANCY FLORALS FOR SPRING

Ok, so maybe it's not ideal to want to walk down the runway dressed as a bouquet of flowers like Gigi, but this does get me inspired for spring.  Jump start the season with a splash of color and a pinch of blossoming botanicals from head to toe in a floral print romper or pair this gorgeous, floral crop top with high-waisted trousers. I'm always a fan of mixing prints and patterns too, here are a few simple tips to keep in mind, when mixing florals in your wardrobe...

Start with a standout piece

It's easy to build the perfect outfit when you focus on one item to use as your inspiration.

Size Matters

Stick with a mix of either small patterns or with bigger ones. 

Stay in the same color family

Try to keep warm tones together and cool tones together. If the pattern is a mash-up, then pick a color or two from the combo and go with that. 

Step out of the box

Experiment with patterns you wouldn't normally pair up. Pair up a striped skirt with a floral top! You would be surprised to see what a difference it makes if you try something new, so for the love of all things holy, don't be too "matchy-matchy".

Go bold or go home

To offset the vibrant floral pattern, pair with a minimal and bold accessory.
